Terms & Conditions

Effective August 1, 2026. These terms govern experiences booked with Yellowstone Grand Charters.

Booking & payment

Our clear‑night promise

The sky is the one thing we cannot arrange. If clouds prevent the viewing, your experience moves to the next available night at no charge. Weather rescheduling does not entitle you to a cash refund — we would rather move your night than sell you a gray one. Dates may also shift a night earlier or later around a new moon when weather demands it; your seat travels with the date.

Cancellation

Safety, terrain & assumption of risk

Our experiences take place at night, outdoors, on uneven ground, at elevation, in wildlife country, and in cold temperatures — the pre‑dawn hours are the coldest of the day. You are responsible for following crew instructions, staying within designated areas, and using the handrails and red lighting provided. Wildlife is wild and is observed at a distance required by law. By joining, you accept the ordinary risks of outdoor travel in the Northern Rockies.

Photography

We photograph our experiences and may use those images to describe our work. Tell us before your journey if you'd prefer not to appear, and we'll honor it.

Changes & availability

Experiences depend on vehicle availability, permits, road and park conditions, and weather. Where something must change, we will substitute an experience of equal or greater value, or reschedule. Itineraries and timings are guides, not guarantees.

Membership

Membership in The 71 is governed by its own Terms of Membership, provided at enrollment. A membership is a membership in an experiential program — it is not an investment, security, or ownership interest, and no financial return is promised or implied.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana.

These terms are provided in good faith and are not legal advice. They should be reviewed and adapted by Montana counsel before you rely on them.
